Inspiration for art can come from anywhere - objects that speak to you, colors or shapes you gravitate towards, experiences you have had, explorations of a feeling, and more. I am inspired everyday by different factors when I create art. Here are some of my favorite pieces, and a little bit about what inspired me to create them. Enjoy!
Artichoke and Avocado
Who can resist this pairing??? The perfect alliteration - two of my favorites!!!
Awaiting the Music
This time of year brings endless music festivals and concerts!!!! One could easily enjoy “awaiting the music” forever!!!!!
Faces at the Fair
I’m always mesmerized by faces and expressions - translating in my mind what the messages may be is endless fun!! Capturing the exact look or quirky wonder of each!! Is it an art fair? County fair? Street fair???
Sometimes Toot Your Own Horn
Yes it’s true! Sometimes you just do. Be your own greatest cheerleader. If not you then who???? The jazz roots from my New Orleans upbringing are always there!!!
The Trio
This three dimensional piece is an example of my fondness for papier-mâché. The depth and tactile feeling creating these unique faces and expressions is wondrous!!!
…Stay tuned, more to come!!!
